Empire State Modified star Patrick Emerling won the 150-lap NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Clash At Claremont Friday at the storied Thrasher Road third-mile, outdistancing a stellar field of open-wheel rocketships to top his first series win of the season.
Emerling was one of three main event winners Friday at the Claremont Motorsports Park oval, as Josh Vanada and his JDV Productions team served up another night-for-the-ages show in the second running of the Clash event, the first since 2022.

If there’s any end in sight to Patrick Emerling’s current dominance of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, it wasn’t visible Saturday at Monadnock Speedway.
The Orchard Park, NY speedster won the fifth annual JDV Productions Duel At The Dog energized by USNE Power Modified main event at the storied high-banked oval, using his third consecutive Tour victory to stay atop the points parade and, as an added bonus, picked up an additional $5,000 check for topping the three-race JDV Whelen Midsummer Championship.

Whelen Midsummer Champion: Patrick Emerling
The inaugural Whelen Midsummer Championship came to a thrilling conclusion after three NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events across New England during the month of July. The championship began at Seekonk Speedway on July 1 with the Firecracker 150 presented by Bethesda Leadership Group, continued at Claremont Motorsports Park on July 10 for the Clash at Claremont, and culminated on July 25 at Monadnock Speedway during the 5th Annual Duel at the Dog energized by USNE Power.
The three-race championship rewarded consistency and performance throughout the month, with drivers and teams competing for bonus awards at each event before battling for the inaugural Whelen Midsummer Championship title and a $5,000 championship bonus at the finale. Patrick Emerling claimed the championship after victories at Claremont and Monadnock, capping off an unforgettable month of racing.
